Artists
Kurt McGonigle, Owner
Kurt McGonigle is a skilled tattoo artist who began his professional journey in 2018, though his passion for tattooing was ignited much earlier. As a second-generation artist, Kurt was introduced to the world of tattooing by his uncle, Stu, whose influence shaped Kurt’s early artistic development. From a young age, Kurt honed his craft by replicating traditional tattoo flash, mastering the art of drawing and painting classic designs.

Before dedicating himself fully to tattooing, Kurt spent nearly a decade as an Engineering Officer in the Merchant Navy, working on large ships that sailed across the globe. This experience deepened his appreciation for traditional tattoo styles, which eventually became his specialty.

In 2023, Kurt took the next step in his career by launching Paradise Tattoo. Drawing from his experiences in various renowned tattoo shops worldwide, Kurt created a space where clients are welcomed warmly, excited to visit, and confident they'll leave with a great tattoo. While his expertise lies in traditional tattooing, Kurt remains versatile, embracing all styles to ensure each client’s vision is brought to life.
Dan Fairley, Artist
Daniel Fairley is an artist who has been tattooing since 2021. His deep love of tattooing is rooted in the traditional style - which he considers his specialty, though Daniel enjoys lots of other styles of tattooing including high-contrast blackwork, fine line, and illustrative. Before Daniel started tattooing, he was a full time freelance drummer and percussionist. As a graduate of the Royal Conservative of Scotland, he has performed professionally all over the UK and further afield. While tattooing has become Daniel’s main focus, he enjoys playing and teaching around Scotland. Daniel lives in Carnoustie with his family, and he splits his tattooing between Earl Grey Studio in Dundee, and here at Paradise Tattoo in Glasgow.
